If you are thinking about picking this one up, LISTEN to it rather than read it.  It’s actually Dolly Parton telling stories of her life and the songs she’s written, with some snippets of songs thrown in there.  It’s an interview, not scripted.  I’m not sure how good the transcribed version would be without her chuckles and smiles that come through while she talks.  The audio book is wonderful though – she’s just so sweet.  I’m not a fan of country music but I do like Dolly as a person which is why I picked it up.  I think anyone would enjoy it, country fan or not.
