I can only recommend the audio of this
book. The physical book is written in extremely broken English and my
brain couldn’t easily translate while reading. The audio was much easier
to understand and follow.
In this book, the main character is an
innocent and naïve girl in Nigeria with such drive and determination to better
herself. All she wants is to go to school, become a teacher, and have a
voice, but life continues to throw hurdles in her way. Her story is both sad and inspirational.
Finished 6/10/25 – 3/5 stars
