Another hit for me from James McBride. I really enjoyed reading this one. There are multiple storylines and multiple
characters, all blended into one main story with plenty of emotions to be felt. I will admit, I was surprised at the “N word”
being used freely within such a newer book, however, it was correct usage for
the time it takes place and the author is a person of color so he is absolutely
free to use it in his writing. It just
made me uncomfortable initially.

write this story.
